Alor Setar (21 March 2024)Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Signing Ceremony between Majlis Agama Islam Negeri Kedah and Takaful Ikhlas Family Berhad (TIFB) was held to establish a formal cooperation in attracting people especially from the state of Kedah to contribute in Takaful while simultaneously conduct wakaf to Majlis Agama Islam Negeri Kedah. 

Syarikat Takaful Ikhlas Family is a company under PNB and MNRB Berhad, the GLCs under the Ministry of Finance.  Wakaf takaful is one of the innovations that is a very unique and innovative that can be done i.e. death hibbah to wakaf is a good development at distributing the benefits of wakaf especially to Majlis Agama Islam Negeri Kedah. Hibah wakaf is one of Syarikat Takaful Ikhlas' efforts to encourage contributors to contribute while conducting wakaf. The benefits will be used for the purpose of implementing economic and social projects for Muslims in the State of Kedah.

In addition, this strategic collaboration between MAIK and Ikhlas Family Berhad Takaful Company will open a new opportunities for takaful contributors throughout Malaysia to wakaf a part of their death compensation to the religious institutions such as Majlis Agama Islam Negeri Kedah.

This Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed by Dato' Dr. Haji Abd. Ghani@Zulkifli Bin Haji Zainuddin, Secretary of Majlis Agama Islam Negeri Kedah and Tuan Jafni Bin Abd Jalil, Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, Agensi Takaful Ikhlas Family Berhad that was witnessed by Dato' Wira Syeikh Yahaya Bin Jusoh, Deputy President of Majlis Agama Islam Negeri Kedah.
