Alhamdulillah, thanks to Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala with His permission, I am able to address a few words on the Majlis Agama Islam Negeri Kedah Website. The new portal which started off from 1st April 2022 is more organized, user-friendly and is an information channel and communication network to disseminate various latest information and provide online services to the community and clients of the Majlis Agama Islam Negeri Kedah.

The Majlis Agama Islam Negeri Kedah has taken a step forward by launching the Majlis Agama Islam Negeri Kedah Strategic Plan (2021-2025) which was inaugurated by His Royal Highness the Sultan of Kedah on 27 September 2021. This plan was drafted to ensure that the Majlis Agama Islam Negeri Kedah continues to move forward in line with the modernization era in 21st century. However, routine works which are not included in this Strategic Plan will continue as usual.

In an effort to strengthen service delivery, several new positions have been approved. With the existence of the Research and Strategic Planning Division, it will certainly rejuvenate the organizational structure of the Majlis Agama Islam Negeri Kedah, especially on the aspect of implementing the Strategic Planning Plan. This Division will conduct studies and researches and propose new innovations. Likewise the Hibah and Wasiat Unit, another new service offered to the community in this state, in line with the enacting of the Baitulmal (Kedah Darul Aman) Regulations 2021.

The Real Property Development Division is also given an additional new role, that is to manage the leasing of wakaf and baitulmal lands which are previously managed by Syarikat Pengurusan Izzah Sdn. Bhd.

All the employees of the Majlis Agama Islam Negeri Kedah need to observe high quality work values, act effectively, be serious in carrying out tasks, be proactive, have firm commitment and work as a team.

In line with the digital revolution challenges , the Majlis Agama Islam Negeri Kedah has also utilized the medium of information and communication technology as a channel to deliver information and services online as it is faster, easier and in line with the concept where information can be obtained at the fingertips. The Kedah Smart Masjid system is a data and information management system that captures profiles of mosques, financial management, anak kariah and current activities in a centralized and integrated manner for all mosques in the State of Kedah. This system was developed as a joint venture between MAIK and the Lembaga Zakat Negeri Kedah.

Last but not least, do maintain the commitment that has been shown and continue to understand and support the vision and mission of the Majlis Agama Islam Negeri Kedah towards the prosperity and well-being of the people of the State of Kedah Darul Aman. It is hoped that this website will be the effective and interactive platform for dissemination of information to all clients. Clients’ satisfaction drives us to continue providing our best in doing our work.
